Custom Cookbooks

Our Custom Cookbook Design Process

With Storybook Publications, we do the work, but you have control of the process at every step. Our process guarantees that whether your recipes come from family members, church members, a non-profit organization or a fundraising group, you will have a quality product, organized, printed and delivered to your doorstep in a timely fashion.

Gathering the Recipes
Storybook Publications will accept recipes through the mail, through email or as a digital file. Recipes may be submitted by the members of your group or by one designated contact. We will accept copies of handwritten notes or recipe cards -- scan them and attach them to an email to make it easier. We'll even set up an email adddress specifically for your group.

Together, we'll set up the best way to collect your recipes.

Initial Estimate
Once we know how many recipes will be included and what other personalized elements you want to include like pictures, stories or antidotes, we can give you a preliminary estimate for you approval. Or, we can work within your budget requirements by providing recommendations on how many recipes to include, design and size of your cookbook.

Organizing and designing your cookbook
Once you approve your preliminary estimate, we begin to organize, design and layout your cookbook.

Our design includes options for various sections in your cookbook, including:

Publishing your cookbook
Now, the publishing process begins. Your book will be formatted, edited, spell-checked and proofed here at Storybook. After our team has approved the pages, we'll provide you with a full size mock-up of your cookbook for your review and changes.

At this point, we will ask for a cookbook quantity, to provide you with a cost estimate for your cookbooks. Once you approve the cost and the proof, your cookbook will go to print.
